21 Years Later ...
 
We met during Jill’s high school car wash. Jill and her friend, Lisa, walked down to McDonald’s to grab a quick lunch. While the girls were standing in line, Lisa’s brother, Cliff, and Jerry walked into McDonalds. We were introduced and enjoyed a wonderful lunch together. We began dating shortly after meeting at McDonalds and have been inseparable since that day.
We enjoyed a very long courtship of five years while we completed our education and prepared for the future. We spent countless hours getting to know each other, helping one another with various projects, hanging out, attending functions, and enjoying one another’s company. Our families intertwined, as we were part of each others families long before we married.
Our wedding, which took place on July 4, 1986, was a traditional, large, celebration that took place inside an old beautiful church. We had twenty four attendants that helped us celebrate our special day. Among the attendants were all of our siblings, several family members, and our closest friends. Our reception was very special and celebrated by a bunch of people.
It’s 21 ½ years later and still the BEST decision of our life!
